 Russia has successfully tested a rocket in space to destroy one of its own satellites.The experiment has resulted in a lot of debris, while NASA and the United States are unhappy with it.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken said: "We condemn this brutal Russian experiment." He added:It threatens the lives and even the integrity of the International Space Station and the interests of all nations. "

 "Irresponsible Action"

 The US space agency NASA has also joined Blanken's criticism.NASA chief Bill Nelson said, "I am unhappy with this irresponsible and unstable way of doing things."Russia is endangering not only the American and international partner astronauts on the ISS but also its own astronauts.

 More than 1,500 pieces of debris have so far been created in Earth's orbit since Monday's experiment, according to the U.S.Armed Forces Space Command.The statement added, "It is possible that these will eventually disintegrate into millions of smaller fragments while remaining in orbit for years and possibly decades."

 Millions of euros to clean up space waste

 The Russian space agency Roscosmos, meanwhile, said the wreckage had moved away from the ISS, adding that "the station is in the green zone."
