Oil tanker crash in Sierra Leone kills at least 100

 At least 99 people have been killed and more than 100 injured in an accident involving a fuel tanker in the African country of Sierra Leone.The incident took place near the capital, Freetown.

Authorities say a large number of the injured were people who were there to collect oil spilled after the accident.Authorities fear the death toll could rise.The oil tanker collided with a bus, causing the oil to flow from the tanker.There was also a gas station nearby and the fire caused an explosion there as well.

 The blast in Wellington, a suburb of Freetown, caused flames to engulf nearby cars.

 About a hundred people were injured

 Officials at the Connaught Hospital morgue in the capital said 22 bodies had been brought to them by Saturday morning.A further 100 infected people have been admitted to hospitals and clinics across the capital for treatment, Deputy Health Minister Amara Jambai told Reuters.The local mayor said in a Facebook post that most of the injured were people who were there to collect the leaking oil.

 This is not the first case of its kind on the African continent.It has happened many times in the past that after the accident of the oil tanker People gathered there to get oil and a large number of people died due to the fire.

 In the past, many such accidents have taken place in a country like Pakistan.Experts urge to move away from the affected area as soon as possible after any oil tanker accident.
