Libya's presidential election: Muammar Gaddafi's son Saif al-Islam presidential candidate

 Libya, a war-torn North African country, is set to hold presidential elections next December.Saif al-Islam, the son of former dictator Muammar Gaddafi, has also filed nomination papers as a candidate in this election.

Libya Presidential Election

Libya will go to the polls on December 24 this year for the presidential election.These elections were scheduled to take place on December 10, 2018, but were postponed due to the ongoing armed conflict.

The documents were submitted by Gaddafi's son to the country's southwestern city of Sabha.His candidacy for the presidency has been confirmed by the Lebanese Election Commission.
