Web Desk - According to a public opinion poll, a large number of Americans have full confidence in their doctors, nurses and pharmacists.Experts working on the study say that citizens' reliance on their doctors can be beneficial in encouraging them to get vaccinated.

Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research

According to a poll conducted by the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy and the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, seven out of ten citizens say their doctors, Nurses and pharmacists are providing them with the best services.

According to experts, as long as citizens are willing to trust their doctors and listen to them. They can be persuaded to get the corona vaccine.

The poll found that the rate of trust in the medical system was the same for supporters of both US political parties, white, black and Hispanic.

President of NORC's Health Research Group

Michelle Strollo, senior vice president of NORC's Health Research Group, says that when people go to doctors and nurses, a relationship of trust and confidence is established. Then they take their medical issues and questions to them.Go to the bar "Health officials should only contact physicians, nurses and pharmacists who already have a trusting relationship with patients to encourage them to be vaccinated," says Strollo.

An earlier survey in June found that people valued the opinion of their personal physician rather than the recommendations of the CDC, an infectious disease organization and Dr. Anthony Fauchi, a leading epidemiologist in the United States.

The study comes at a time when the number of corona cases is rising again across the United States, largely due to the rapidly expanding Delta variant. The majority of those affected by the epidemic this time are those who have not been vaccinated.

Joe Biden Called Public for Corona Vaccinated

Several senior US officials, including US President Joe Biden, have called on the public to be vaccinated against coronavirus.

The coronavirus vaccine has been widely available in the United States since the first quarter of this year.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control, 71 percent of adults have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Paul Vects, a recently retired cardiologist, says he encouraged many of his patients to get vaccinated by explaining their health.Which he thought was important to his patients.

"As a doctor, my patients know me, they look me in the eye and they trust me that I won't give them the wrong advice," says Vex, from Illinois.

Public Opinion Director

On the other hand, Liz Hamel, director of public opinion and survey research, says that physicians can be very helpful in encouraging citizens to get vaccinated. But the US health system is divided and this is a big problem. He says the rate of vaccination is the lowest among people who do not have health insurance and that is why they do not have access to doctors.

Vaccination rates are also lower among younger adults and this is one of the reasons why young adults are less likely to see a doctor.

Elaborating further on the issue, Liz Hamel says that there is no guarantee that delivery to a physician or pharmacist will make citizens ready to be vaccinated.

She says the vaccine has become so politically controversial that those who rely on their doctor's opinion on their health issues do not want to listen to the vaccine.

Hamel says people are so politically divided that the anti-vaccine class doesn't even want to think about it.
