Apple iPhone iOS 16.2 Update What Changed?

Apple released iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 on December 13 (local time).

Unfortunately, no improvements were seen for cars or GPS.

16.2 has been in beta testing for almost two months and is now released.

Now apple karaoke! Apple Music Sing (Karaoke)

Apple Music Sing made it possible to sing along by adding a karaoke-like function to the lyrics screen of Apple Music.
With this function, the user can lower the voice of the vocalist and enjoy it as if singing at a karaoke room.
Apple Music Sing is only supported on iPhone 11 or later, some iPads, and the latest Apple TV 4K or later.

Free form app, Freeform

It is a whiteboard app that is installed by default on the iPhone. It provides a canvas for drawing sticky notes, text boxes, shapes, photos, videos, links or PDFs. You can also collaborate and communicate with others via FaceTime or iMessage.

 2 new lock screen widgets (Health app)

There are two new lock screen widgets for sleep (sleep) or medication use. The Medicine Widget helps you quickly take your medicine.

New always-on display

In 16.2, you can hide wallpapers and notifications from always-on display. (14 model series)
Therefore, like Android, in always-on mode, black is lit and only minimal information is displayed.
 Sports score status via live Apple TV app
You can see real-time scores of MLB, NBA or Premier League games at a glance. (Dynamic Island for 14 models / Banner for others)

New airdrop option

Changed the previous airdrop default setting from 'all' to 'all for 10 minutes'. This is expected to reduce unwanted requests on public transport or in public places.
If you select All for 10 minutes, you can only receive airdrops from automatically saved contacts after 10 minutes.

Home application architecture

When you open the Home app, app updates are available with the default architecture.

High level of data protection

The security of iOS has been high since before, but it is getting higher. Enabling this feature extends end-to-end encryption to many categories of iCloud data, including messages, photos, notes, and voice memos.

Other new features

Enjoy multiplayer games while playing FaceTime with Share Play in Game Center
The default weather app offers an Apple News section
Improved search in the Messages app finds photos based on things like dogs or cars, people or texts.
