 German Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has accused Belarusian leader Lukashenko of exploiting undocumented migrants.Haiku Moss has described the deportation of refugees to the Polish border as a negative ploy.

German Foreign Minister Heiko Moss has called on the European Union to impose sanctions on Belarus for raising the issue of refugees unnecessarily.Thousands of refugees are currently stranded on the Polish border with Belarus in the freezing cold.

 The Polish government has accused Belarus and the Russian Federation of trying to threaten European security by using refugees.

 German Foreign Minister Heiko Moss said in a statement that Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko had used "negative tactics" to send refugees to the border.

 Moss also said that anyone found involved in the current process of smuggling refugees would face sanctions.

 European Commission President Arzula van der Leyen just two days ago on Monday approved an extension of the sanctions already in place.So far, the union has imposed sanctions on 166 individuals and 15 entities affiliated with or affiliated with the Lukashenko government.

Tensions between the union and Belarus erupted when the Minsk government arrested an anti-government activist in May this year after forcibly taking off a Rhineair airliner over the country's airspace.

 The European Union (EU) has condemned last year's presidential election because of its lack of transparency.In this election, the country's election commission declared Lukashenko the winner of the election against Svetlana Tskanoskia, a female opposition candidate.
