In France and Switzerland, sand and pebbles rained down from the sky during a dust storm on Sunday.Causing mixed feelings of surprise and fear.

Foreign Media :

According to foreign media reports, the sky in France and Switzerland turned orange on Sunday instead of the usual blue. The change was the result of hot and dry winds from North Africa's largest desert that traveled thousands of kilometers through fog and dust.Entering the European region, from Egypt, Libya to Morocco and Mauritania.

Spread out these dusty winds turned the sky yellow in France and enveloped south eastern France and the Alps.

Later, parts of this dusty fog entered Switzerland, from where it reached Italy, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic in Central Europe.

French officials explained:

French officials have explained that strong winds in the south picked up sand from the desert, causing an unusual color to spread in the sky. These scenes also went viral on social media.

Meteorologists attributed the spread of dust storms over such a vast area to global warming. This issue is also being discussed on social media.

Frederick Nathan, a meteorologist in France, said the sandstorm was reminiscent of the November 2017 fire in the Britney region of north western France and the resulting dusty weather.
