According to local media, after losing the match, Shah Hussain Shah said that he did not get proper facilities to prepare for the mega event.

Before Shah Hussain Shah, five out of 10 Pakistani athletes participating in the Tokyo Olympics have been eliminated from the biggest sporting event without winning a medal.

Talha Talib was representing Pakistan in weightlifting, Mahur Shehzad badminton, Gulfam Joseph shooting and Haseeb Tariq swimming.

Although Talha Talib did not win any medal in the 67kg weightlifting category, she was highly praised and encouraged by the Pakistani people for finishing fifth and striving for the medal.
