Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed to meet soon.

A statement from the Israeli prime minister's office said the two leaders discussed security and diplomatic issues during the first telephone conversation since Naftali Bennett took office.
The statement said Naphtali Bennett thanked Putin for Russia's role in assisting in the issue of prisoners and missing persons and maintaining regional stability.
They also discussed the role of the more than 1 million Russian Jews.Who have migrated to Israel since the 1990s, with Bennett calling them a bridge between the two countries.
